Blackhawks place third among BNL, Corydon, North Daviess

The Springs Valley girls’ golf team hosted tough competition at the Valley Links on Tuesday, taking on Bedford North Lawrence, Corydon Central, and North Daviess. The Blackhawks finished third, recording a team score of 197. Bedford North Lawrence won with a 155, Corydon Central had a 166, and North Daviess was at the back of the pack with a 217. Mia Cruz was at the front of the individual competition for the Blackhawks, placing fourth with a score of 39. She fell only to Corydon’s Emma Rowland (35), BNL’s Kinleigh Root (36), and BNL’s Kenley Craig (37). Dallas Hendrix was second once again for Valley, finishing her round with a 48. Karmen Hall had a 52 and Myla Harrison recorded a 58. Springs Valley will play again on Thursday, taking on Jasper, Forest Park, and Southridge at home.
