A quartet from the Springs Valley class of 2022 is preparing to leap into the world of collegiate athletics. After helping lead the Blackhawks to nine wins on the football field and a sectional championship in basketball before qualifying for the State Finals in track as seniors, Kannon Chase and Conner Grimes have moved up to Wabash College. Chase is set to play wide receiver for the Little Giants football team while Grimes is expected to be between running back and receiver. Chase will also compete for the Little Giants in basketball. Grimes will join their track and field team. Kennedy Land will be busy this fall as a member of the volleyball team at Goshen College. A three-time sectional champion while at Valley, Land will be a defensive specialist for the Maple Leafs and later in the year she'll also run for their track and field team. Rounding out the group is Carter Crews, who is set to play baseball at Spalding University. The former Springs Valley ace will pitch for the Eagles when he arrives in Louisville. The Springs Valley Athletic Department is proud of each and every one of these four outstanding athletes and wish them the best as they begin the next phases of their respective careers.
