Valley girls' golf falls to Brownstown in four-team match

The Springs Valley girls’ golf team played host to Brownstown Central, Paoli, and Eastern (Pekin) on Tuesday night. The Blackhawks placed second in the field, posting a team score of 211. Brownstown won the event with a score of 193. Paoli and Eastern could not post team scores. Mia Cruz was out front for Springs Valley. The senior paced the squad with a score of 44. She was four strokes behind the medalist, Brownstown’s Gracie Reynolds. Karmen Hall was next-best for Valley with a 51, Dallas Hendrix turned in a score of 57, and Myla Harrison rounded things out with a 59. The Blackhawks will compete next on Saturday, traveling to Jasper for an invitational event.
