Blackhawk girls' golf finishes second at Buffalo Trace

The Springs Valley girls' golf team got back to work on Monday, traveling to Jasper to take on the Wildcats as well as Forest Park and Heritage Hills at Buffalo Trace Golf Course. The Blackhawks would leave Jasper with a second-place finish, falling only to the hosts in the event. Jasper finished with a team score of 184, Springs Valley was second at 214, Forest Park was third at 225, and Heritage Hills rounded out the standings at 241. Macy Hall played the best round of her season to this point to lead the way. The senior carded a 48. Mia Cruz was next-best for the 'Hawks on Monday with a 52, Karmen Hall finished at 56, Dallas Hendrix shot a 58, Logan Watts had a 71 and Maggie Dennis returned to play, putting up a 72. The Blackhawks will play again on Tuesday evening, hosting Paoli, Brownstown Central and Eastern (Pekin) at the Valley Links.
