Springs Valley Community High School

The Springs Valley girls' golf team hosted Patoka Lake Athletic Conference foes Mitchell, Paoli, Orleans, and Crawford County at the Valley Links on Wednesday for the conference championship match. The Blackhawks ran away with the team title and the individual championship. Their team score of 172 was forty strokes lower than their closest competitor, Orleans. The Bulldogs finished at 212, the Bluejackets at 223, and the Wolfpack at 233. Paoli did not record a team score. Dallas Hendrix earned the individual championship with a career night. The sophomore carded a match-low and career-low score of 37, finishing just one stroke over par. Mia Cruz placed second with a score of 41 and Karmen Hall placed fourth with a score of 43 to also earn all-conference honors. Myla Harrison put up a score of 52 to round things out for Springs Valley. The Blackhawks will return to action on Thursday, traveling to Otis Park Golf Course for a sectional tune-up against Bedford North Lawrence and Brownstown Central.
