Springs Valley Community High School

The Springs Valley football team traveled to Mitchell on Friday, erupting for 30 first-quarter points and defeating the Bluejackets 48-0 in its Patoka Lake Athletic Conference opener. Larron Childers led the way for the Blackhawks on the ground, carrying the ball five times for 79 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a team-high 12 tackles including 2.5 for a loss and two sacks. He also recovered a fumble. Konner Chase carried the ball six times for 84 yards and a touchdown, also completing a pair of passes for 47 yards including a touchdown to James Walls. Christian Hamilton also had a touchdown, carrying the ball eight times for 71 yards. Springs Valley (2-0, 1-0 PLAC) will work to keep its momentum moving forward next week when it travels to Paoli.
