Springs Valley Community High School

The Springs Valley volleyball team played host to Bloomfield on Wednesday evening, defeating the Cardinals 25-10, 25-12, 25-10. Leigh Carnes was a key component in the Blackhawks bashing of Bloomfield, racking up 19 kills. She also had a pair of digs and six aces on 12/14 serving. With her final kill of the night, the senior became the first player in program history with more than 1,000 assists and 1,000 kills. The next time Springs Valley (6-1, 1-0 PLAC) takes the court, it will be hosting the Leslie Akers Classic on Saturday. The tournament will feature strong competition like Vincennes Rivet and Edgewood.
