The Springs Valley volleyball team played the final road game of its regular season on Tuesday, traveling to Salem and leaving the Lions with a 25-10, 25-19, 25-14 defeat. Maddie Carnes stayed hot against the Lions with 12 kills on 22 attempts. She also had 20 assists, 14 digs, and three aces on 14/15 serving. Following back-to-back wins, Springs Valley (25-3, 5-0 PLAC) will try to take its third match in a row on Thursday when it hosts conference rival Perry Central. Against the Commodores, the Blackhawks will celebrate their seniors, but they'll also be playing for two important accomplishments — the program's first undefeated season at home in more than a decade and the program's ninth consecutive undefeated conference championship.
