After yet another undefeated championship season, four Springs Valley volleyball players were named All-Patoka Lake Athletic Conference on Wednesday including Leigh Carnes, Bella Nottger, Molly Tucker, and Maddie Carnes. Leigh Carnes, a senior, led the way in attack for the Blackhawks against conference competition. She had a team-high 87 kills and hit .272 across the six matches. She also had 103 assists, 32 digs, four blocks, and 17 aces on 104/108 serving. Nottger missed time due to an injury, but performed well in the matches she competed in. Despite completely missing matches against Orleans and Mitchell as well as only playing in a limited role against Paoli, the senior put down 25 kills, third-most on the team. She also had 19 digs, nine blocks, and four aces on 26/29 serving. Tucker led the Blackhawks defensively, compiling a team-high 69 digs in conference play. The senior also far and away led the team in serve receptions with 103 while only committing six errors. She also had eight aces on 72/81 serving. Maddie Carnes stuffed the stat sheet during conference play. The sophomore put up 76 kills with an incredible .391 hitting percentage. She also had 116 assists, 66 digs, nine blocks, and four aces on 54/58 serving. The honor is the second for each of Nottger, Tucker, and Maddie Carnes, expanding Springs Valley's pool of multi-time All-PLAC selections to 32 players. It was also the fourth time that Leigh Carnes was selected, making her just the fourth player to accomplish that feat. She joins Monica Foxx, Allison Hammond, and Caitlyn Reynolds in doing so.
