Blackhawk girls' golf takes win behind co-medalists Macy Hall, Mia Cruz

The Springs Valley girls' golf team returned to the Valley Links on Tuesday and got a result it very much needed. After recent struggles for a myriad of reasons, the Blackhawks stepped up on their home course and took down visitors Eastern Greene, Mitchell and North Harrison in short order. Valley's team score of 195 ruled the day with Eastern Greene finishing second at 206, North Harrison finishing third at 241, and Mitchell not posting a team score. The Blackhawks were atop the individual leaderboard as well as senior Macy Hall and junior Mia Cruz each carded a 42 to split medalist honors for the match. Dallas Hendrix was next-best for Valley at 54, Karmen Hall's score was 57, Logan Watts put up a score of 70, and Maggie Dennis rounded out the match for the 'Hawks at 72. Springs Valley will be back in action on Thursday, traveling to Country Oaks Golf Course to take on Washington and Jasper.
