Blackhawks fall on the road at Orleans

The Springs Valley boys' basketball team hit the road on Friday, traveling to Orleans for an Orange County rivalry matchup with the Bulldogs. Though they stuck with the 'Dogs for a half, trailing just 29-26 at halftime, the Blackhawks ultimately fell 62-41. Deion Edwards was the lone Blackhawk to break double digits in points, going for 22 points. The junior also had 12 rebounds for his first double-double of the season. He had an assist and a steal as well. Keyton Jones went for seven points, three rebounds, an assist, a steal, and a block. Mavrick Land had six points, a rebound, and an assist. Jaheim Hamlton had two points, two assists, and two blocks. James Walls had two points and a rebound. Larron Childers had an assist. Springs Valley (0-2, 0-2 PLAC) will look to pick up its first win of the season on Saturday when it travels to Washington Catholic.
