The Springs Valley boys' basketball team was at home on Friday, taking on Barr-Reeve. Despite trailing just 11-9 after one quarter and 18-11 at halftime, the Blackhawks ultimately fell 47-18. Three Blackhawks were able to get into the scorebook against the Vikings. Deion Edwards led the 'Hawks with seven points including a five-for-six effort at the free-throw line. He also had four rebounds, an assist, two steals, and two blocks. Keyton Jones had six points, two rebounds, and two steals. Mavrick Land had five points, three rebounds, and a steal. Jaheim Hamilton had eight rebounds and a pair of steals. Larron Childers had two rebounds and an assist. James Walls had a rebound. Christian Hamilton had a rebound. Springs Valley (1-3, 0-2 PLAC) will return to play on Saturday when it travels to Lanesville.
