Springs Valley bashes Bloomfield for fourth straight win

Though they were tied 12-12 after one quarter at Bloomfield on Thursday night, the Springs Valley basketball team was still able to take a runaway victory over the Cardinals. They built a 24-18 lead by the half, then ran rampant in the second half to take a 53-25 win. Maddie Carnes paced the 'Hawks with 14 points, also grabbing seven rebounds and tallying four assists. Maci Eckerty had 13 points to go along with four rebounds and six assists. She also had a monstrous defensive performance, deflecting eight passes while tallying a career-high seven steals. Leigh Carnes went for eight points, four rebounds, and an assist. Jordyn Land had five points and three rebounds. Kynleigh Dalton had five points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Tori McCormick had four points, six rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a block. Gracie Breedlove had four points and two rebounds. Kinsey Campbell had two steals. Josie Robison had a rebound. Springs Valley (10-1, 3-0 PLAC) has now won four games in a row and reached double-digit wins for the 10th consecutive season. The Blackhawks will return to action on Saturday when they host Loogootee.
