Springs Valley Community High School

The Springs Valley girls' golf team traveled to Bedford on Monday to compete against Eastern Greene at Stone Crest Golf Community. The Blackhawks' trip proved to be a successful one as they beat the Thunderbirds 192-214. Mia Cruz led the way for Springs Valley in Bedford, earning medalist honors with a score of 45. Macy Hall and Dallas Hendrix backed her up with scores of 48, and Karmen Hall shot a personal-best score of 51. Logan Watts and Maggie Dennis each shot a 69, continuing to show signs of improvement in their first year of playing golf. Springs Valley's team score of 192 was its lowest of the season to this point, another positive sign as the Blackhawks rapidly approach the state tournament. They'll play again on Thursday, traveling to Green Acres Country Club to take on Orange County rivals Paoli and Orleans.
