Blackhawks down Tecumseh for big road win

The Springs Valley boys’ basketball team battled Tecumseh on the road on Saturday, winning 70-54. The ‘Hawks started off slow, only scoring 13 points by the end of the first quarter compared to Tecumseh’s 19 points. The Blackhawks had a major push during the third quarter, scoring 25 points as opposed to Tecumseh’s five. That huge drive helped the ‘Hawks win their fifth game in a row. Deion Edwards and Konner Chase led the way for the Blackhawks. Edwards scored an incredible 29 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Chase had his first double-double of the season, scoring 20 points with 10 rebounds. Rounding things out for the ‘Hawks, Jahiem Hamilton had 10 points and five steals, Keyton Jones had four points and three rebounds, James Walls had six points and two steals, Evan Brown had one rebound and two steals, Blake Buchanan had one rebound, Mavrick Land had one point and four rebounds, Christian Hamilton had one rebound, and finally Larron Childers had two rebounds. Springs Valley (8-4, 2-2 PLAC) will try and continue their winning streak on Friday at West Washington.
