Valley boys escape West Washington with overtime win

The Springs Valley boys basketball team traveled to West Washington on Friday, winning by a final score of 60-58. The Blackhawks forced 14 turnovers on the Senators. The Blackhawks had 10 steals. Mavrick Land led Springs Valley in scoring with 19 points and four rebounds. The next-highest scorer was Deion Edwards with 13 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. Keyton Jones ended the game with eight points, three rebounds, and five assists. Konner Chase and Larron Childers ended the game with seven points; Chase with five rebounds and two assists and Childers with seven rebounds and one assist. Jaheim Hamilton had four points and one rebound. James Walls ended with two points, and three rebounds. Evan Brown had three rebounds and one assist. The Blackhawks will host a game against the Austin Eagles on Saturday. The game will start at 6:00 p.m. with the varsity to follow.
