Springs Valley Community High School

The Springs Valley boys basketball team traveled to Northeast Dubois on Friday, losing 59-70. The Blackhawks had 13 steals which helped them get to the score they did but in the end they came up short. Deion Edwards led the Blackhawks with 23 points, eight rebounds and four assists. The next-highest scorer was Konner Chase with 13 points, three rebounds and three assists. Mavrick Land had eight points and four rebounds. Keyton Jones ended with five points, one rebound and four assists. James Walls and Jaheim Hamilton both had four points; Walls with three rebounds and Hamilton with one rebound. Larron Childer finished with two points and four rebounds. Evan Brown ended with one rebound. The Blackhawks will host Eastern (Pekin) on Friday. The game will start at 6:00 p.m. with the varsity to follow.
