Blackhawk boys fall to ranked South Central (Elizabeth) on senior night

The Springs Valley boys’ basketball team hosted South Central (Elizabeth) on Saturday, losing 78-67. The Blackhawks fought rigorously, leading by seven points by the end of the first half. The ‘Hawks had a hard third quarter, only scoring seven points compared to the Rebels’ 22. The Blackhawks couldn’t recover, ultimately losing by 11 points. Deion Edwards led the way for the ‘Hawks with 19 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Mavrick Land followed closely behind with 15 points and five rebounds. Keyton Jones and Jaheim Hamilton both had 10 points. Jones also had two rebounds and three steals. Hamilton had four rebounds and three steals. Rounding things out for the Blackhawks, Konner Chase had seven points, 10 rebounds, and two steals, James Walls had three points and one steal, Evan Brown had one rebound, and Larron Childers had three points, four rebounds, and one steal. Springs Valley (13-8, PLAC 3-3) will travel to Evansville on Thursday to face the Evansville Harrison Warriors.
