The Springs Valley girls' golf team returned to its home course, the Valley Links, on Tuesday and found plenty of comfort in its friendly confines. The Blackhawks soared to victory against North Daviess and Mitchell, beating their guests with their best team score of the season, a 189. North Daviess finished five strokes behind them at 194 while Mitchell came in third at 246. There were also a pair of individual season-best performances. Mia Cruz led the way for the 'Hawks by taking medalist honors with a score of 39, just three strokes over par. Logan Watts also had her best night of the season by no slim margin. She carded a 58 on Tuesday, 10 strokes lower than her previous best. The Blackhawks also got strong play from Macy Hall (46), Dallas Hendrix (51), and Karmen Hall (53). Maggie Dennis rounded out the evening with a score of 72. Springs Valley will play at the Valley Links again on Wednesday, this time hosting Crawford County and Orleans for its senior night match.
