Blackhawks take down Crawford County behind Edwards, Chase

The Springs Valley Boys Basketball team hosted the Crawford County Wolfpack on Friday, defeating them 77-67. The Blackhawks had kept the lead all through the first half. Valley would see its lead start to disappear later in the third and the score would be tied for over half of the third quarter. The ‘Hawks would not give up though and took the win. Junior Deion Edwards and senior Konner Chase were a big part of the ‘Hawks win. Edwards had 25 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Chase had 22 points, one rebound and six assists. Sophomore Keyton Jones had a great game with 17 points, three rebounds and two assists. Jones also went five for six from the free throw line. Larron Childers had five points, three rebounds and three assists. James Walls had five points and three assists. Jaheim Hamilton had three points and two rebounds. Mavrick Land had three rebounds and one assist. Evan Brown had four rebounds. The win was the fourth win in a row for Springs Valley (8-4, 2-2 PLAC). The ‘Hawks will travel to Lynnville to take on the Tecumseh Braves on Saturday, Jan.6.
