Junior High 'Hawks see season bests, personal records at Crawford County

The Springs Valley junior high cross country team traveled to Crawford County on Thursday, Sep. 1 to compete in a five-team meet and came away with promising results. Both the boys and the girls finished third and the individual effforts of the Blackhawks were strong. Dane Harris led the way in the boys' race, finishing second with a season-best time of 12:29. Brody Hill was also a top-10 finisher, setting a new personal record and placing seventh with a time of 14:05. Jacob Hendrix set a new PR to finish 15, Bentley Patton also set a new PR in 16th, and Henry Goldman posted a season-best time while finishing 17th. The Blackhawks also had a pair of top-10 finishers in the girls' race. Sadie Hall's season-best time of 15:19 earned her a third-place finish and Belle Roberts' season-best time of 15:28 got her a sixth-place finish. Springs Valley will return to action on Saturday, competing in the Heritage Hills Invite.
