Springs Valley Community High School

On Thursday the Springs Valley boys’ basketball team traveled to Evansville to go head-to-head with the Warriors. The ‘Hawks lost 90-40. The Blackhawks were not able to take care of the ball this game with 16 turnovers. The Warriors had 18 points off of turnovers and 20 transition points. Keyton Jones led the team with 11 points and four deflections. Jones also had two rebounds. Deion Edwards finished the game with seven points and two rebounds. Konner Chase and Mavrick Land both finished with six points. Chase had two rebounds. Jaheim Hamilton ended with four points and six rebounds. Evan Brown finished with three points and four rebounds. James Walls finished with two points and two rebounds. Landon Weeks had one point. Larron Childers had one rebound. Easton Burton had three rebounds. The Springs Valley (13-9, 3-3 PLAC) will travel to Loogootee to compete in IHSAA Sectional 63 on Feb. 28. Their first-round game against Loogootee will have a 7:30 p.m. start time.
