Blackhawk softball falls to Perry Central in extras

On Monday the Springs Valley softball team hosted Perry Central. The Blackhawks lost 8-4 in extra innings. The Blackhawks were able to keep the Commodores scoreless until the fifth inning. The Commodores didn’t end up scoring again until the 10th, when they were able to score six runs which was enough for them to win the game. Lola Kovas ended up going one for three with a single. Maci Eckerty reached base on an error and ended up scoring. Karson Dalton went one for four with a double and a walk. Molly Tucker went one for four with a sacrifice bunt. Kaylee McNeely also went one for four. Hickman pitched into the 10th inning and had 14 strikeouts. She gave up seven hits and allowed seven runs. The Blackhawks will travel to Bloomfield to play the Cardinals at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
