Springs Valley Community High School

On Monday, Springs Valley students Kinsey Saliba and Matthew Woolsey each received an IHSAA Champions Pin from Springs Valley Athletic Director Jerry Chaney. The pins, part of a program sponsored by the Indiana High School Athletic Association, are awarded to students who demonstrate the values of sportsmanship while competing in high school athletics. Saliba and Woolsey are Springs Valley's first two recipients. Saliba, a junior, competes for the Springs Valley track and field and volleyball teams. She was a regional qualifier in the 100-meter hurdles as a sophomore and is the reigning Patoka Lake Athletic Conference long jump champion. Woolsey, also a junior, competes for the Springs Valley cross country and track and field teams. He's preparing to open his season on Thursday at the Forest Park Invite.
