Springs Valley cross country competes at Dennis Bays Invitational

The Springs Valley cross country team traveled to Angel Mounds on Saturday to compete in the Dennis Bays Warriors Invitational hosted by Evansville Harrison. The Blackhawk boys placed 12th out of the 35 teams in the competition and the Blackhawk girls placed 16th out of 34 teams. Carson Brown led the way for the boys, placing fourth overall. He finished just three seconds behind the winner with a season-best time of 16:04.8. Henry Dybsetter finished next, placing 63rd and setting a new personal record. Andre Ayres and Harry Dybsetter also cracked the top 100, finishing 70th and 100th respectively. Matthew Woolsey placed 151st while setting a new course personal record and Denver Rowlett ran a new personal-record time of 21:48.9 to finish 157th. Belle Roberts led the girls once again, setting a new personal record of 24:00.02 and placing 71st. Sophie Harris finished 92nd and ran her best time of the season. Jadyn Lynch finished 136th, Keira Lynch finished 157th, and Loran Rayls finished 185th. Springs Valley will run again on Thursday, traveling to North Harrison to do so.
