New personal records highlight Springs Valley's trip to Southridge

The Springs Valley cross country team traveled to Southridge on Tuesday for the Tri-County Meet. The boys placed third behind Jasper and Orleans while the girls couldn't record a team score with only four runners. Seven different Blackhawks ran their best time ever at the event. Henry Dybsetter placed 11th with a time of 18:15, Denver Rowlett finished 44th with a time of 21:48, Keaton Thacker finished 45th with a time of 21:48, Hunter Thomas finished 55th with a time of 23:29, Jimmy Curry finished 59th with a time of 24:45, and Eli Collins finished 62nd with a time of 30:28 to set new personal records for the boys. Belle Roberts lowered the bar to 23:26 to finish 10th for the girls. Sophie Harris placed seventh to lead the girls, Jadyn Lynch placed 13th, and Keira Lynch placed 23rd. All three seniors ran a season-best time. Carson Brown led the way for the boys, finishing fourth with a course personal-record time of 17:17. Andre Ayres placed 12th, Harry Dybsetter placed 22nd, and Dane Harris placed 26th. Springs Valley will run next on Saturday morning, competing in Lincoln City at the Heritage Hills Invite.
