Springs Valley volleyball takes down Orleans in Orange County rivalry match

The Springs Valley volleyball team traveled to Orleans on Monday, winning 25-20, 21-25, 25-16, 25-20. The Blackhawks were led by their junior class. Maddie Carnes finished with 40 assists, 15 digs, eight kills, and two aces. Kinsey Saliba had a team-high 20 kills as well as seven digs, three aces, and two blocks. Maci Eckerty led the back row, going for 26 digs. She also had five assists. Kyan Green had a team-high three aces, was superb on serve receive, and also chipped in nine digs. The 'Hawks also got a strong performance from Emmy Saliba. The freshman logged seven kills, also leading the team in blocks with three, notching two aces, and recording nine digs. Springs Valley (13-2, 3-0 PLAC) remains in the driver's seat in the race for a conference championship. If they defeat Mitchell, Paoli, and Perry Central, the Blackhawks will win their 10th consecutive title. Before returning to conference play, they will travel to Northeast Dubois on Tuesday.
