The Springs Valley girls’ basketball team traveled to Ferdinand on Thursday to take on Class 2A No. 1 Forest Park, falling 57-28. It was a struggle from the field for the Blackhawks, they hit just 13 of 41 shots as a team. Macy Hall was a bright spot on that end, recovering from a shaky shooting performance at Shoals to hit four of her six shots and score a team-high eight points. Brynne Buchanan and Gracie Allstott scored five each, Maci Eckerty and Maddie Carnes scored four each, and Bella Shipman scored two. Hall also led the Blackhawks in rebounding with five. No other Blackhawk had more than two. Eckerty led in steals and blocks with two and one respectively. Buchanan led the team in assists with four. Springs Valley (2-1, 0-0 PLAC) will return to action on Tuesday, hosting North Daviess. FOREST PARK 57, SPRINGS VALLEY 28 Springs Valley (2-1);4;4;11;9—28 Forest Park (4-0);17;6;19;15—57
