Springs Valley volleyball blasts Mitchell in PLAC sweep

The Springs Valley volleyball team hosted conference foe Mitchell on Thursday, sweeping the Bluejackets 25-8, 25-13, 25-14. Maddie Carnes put together a strong all-around performance for the Blackhawks, finishing with 15 assists, 13 digs, nine kills, and two aces. Kyan Green was great in service as seven of her 14 serve attempts were aces and she didn't have a single error. Kinsey Saliba was the team's leader in attacks, finishing with 10 kills and just one error on 17 swings. Emmy Saliba had eight digs, seven kills, and four aces. Mia Crews had three aces. Maddie Knieriem had two kills. Haylin Cave had four digs. Peyton Sutton had one dig and one assist. Springs Valley (15-2, 4-0 PLAC) has now won four matches in a row and remains undefeated in the Patoka Lake Athletic Conference with its 58th consecutive victory in a conference match. The Blackhawks will play next on Saturday when they host White River Valley.
