Blackhawk volleyball takes care of White River Valley in straight sets

The Springs Valley volleyball team hosted White River Valley on Saturday, beating the Wolverines 25-13, 25-6, 25-20. Mia Crews logged a solid all-around performance for the Blackhawks with nine kills, seven digs, five aces, and a block. Springs Valley was great at the service line at a team, recording 12 aces on 73 attempts with just four errors for a strong ace percentage of 16.4 percent and a serving percentage of 94.5 percent. While Crews led the 'Hawks in aces, they also got two apiece from Kyan Green, Maci Eckerty, and Maddie Carnes. Emmy Saliba also had an ace. Springs Valley (16-2, 4-0 PLAC) has now won five matches in a row. The Blackhawks will try to keep their streak going on Monday when they host Tecumseh.
