The Springs Valley junior varsity girls' basketball team started things out well enough on Monday against Mitchell, scoring nine points in the first quarter to keep the game tied headed to the second. That would prove to be the bulk of their offense though. The Blackhawks would struggle to score after the opening eight minutes, ultimately falling 29-17. Dallas Hendrix led the way for Springs Valley, scoring seven points. Jordyn Land, the only 'Hawk to score in the second half, put up six. Lily Hickman and Kynleigh Dalton each chipped in a basket as well, scoring two apiece. Springs Valley (1-3, 0-1 PLAC) will try to bounce back on Tuesday, Nov. 29 when they host Barr-Reeve.
