Blackhawk football wrecks Crawford County for third straight win

The Springs Valley football team traveled to Crawford County on Saturday, taking a 70-0 victory. The Blackhawk offense was firing on all cylinders. Christian Hamilton only carried the ball five times, but ran for 125 yards and three touchdowns. Augie Purkhiser has two carries that went for 81 yards and two touchdowns. Karter Andrews carried the ball twice for 26 yards and a touchdown. The Blackhawks also made explosive plays through the air. Blake Buchanan completed all three of his pass attempts, racking up 111 yards and two touchdowns. James Walls had a pair of catches for 77 yards and a score while Landon Weeks had one catch, a 34-yard touchdown. Springs Valley's defense was stout as ever, holding the Wolfpack scoreless. Hamilton had an interception and Noah Allstott recovered a fumble. Graden McGee had a strong performance in the kicking game. The senior converted all 10 of his extra point attempts, a school record. He also recorded his first touchback of his career. Springs Valley (5-1, 3-1 PLAC) has now won three games in a row. The Blackhawks will try to make it four in a row next week when they travel to Tecumseh.
