Springs Valley football takes down Tecumseh on the road

The Springs Valley football team traveled to Tecumseh on Friday, beating the Braves 55-0. The Blackhawks got off to a hot start, leading 27-0 after the first quarter and stretched the lead to 48-0 by halftime. A touchdown in the third quarter served as the final blow in Springs Valley's blowout victory. Christian Hamilton continued his historic senior season, racking up 187 yards and four touchdowns on 13 carries. He now has 1,485 yards and 23 touchdowns this season. Elijah Dickey was also excellent on the ground, carrying the ball six times for 104 yards and a touchdown. Blake Buchanan was productive in the passing game, completing three of his four passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns. James Walls had one catch for 23 yards and a touchdown. Keyton Jones had a catch for 33 yards and a touchdown. Braylon Kovas had an interception return for a touchdown. Graden McGee made seven of his eight extra-point attempts. Springs Valley (6-1, 3-1 PLAC) has now won four games in a row. The Blackhawks will try to make it five when they travel to Perry Central this week to close out conference play.
