Springs Valley falls on the road at White River Valley

The Springs Valley girls' basketball team took a trip to Switz City on Thursday, falling to White River Valley 62-48. Maci Eckerty led the way for the Blackhawks in the loss. The freshman had one of her strongest performances of the season, setting a new career-high with 18 points on eight-of-14 shooting from the field including two made 3-pointers on five attempts. She also led the team in steals with five and assists with three while grabbing two rebounds and turning the ball over just once. Bella Nottger also had a solid outing. The junior finished with eight points, seven rebounds, and two blocks. Other scorers in the game were Ashlyn Bonta, Macy Hall, and Brynne Buchanan with six points apiece, Bella Shipman with three points, and Tori McCormick with one point. Springs Valley (5-5, 2-0 PLAC) will return to action on Monday, taking on Perry Central in Leopold.
