The Indiana High School Volleyball Coaches Association announced its All-State teams on Tuesday night. Two Springs Valley players were named to the Class 1A team. Maddie Carnes became the 14th Blackhawk to be named First-Team All-State. This is the third season in a row in which Springs Valley has had a First-Team All-State player as Leigh Carnes made the team last year and Bella Nottger made the team the year before. Only a junior, Maddie Carnes had 669 assists, 271 digs, 221 kills, 65 aces, and 23 blocks. With another season like that, she could become just the fifth Blackhawk named First-Team All-State multiple times. Kinsey Saliba was also honored at the state level, being named Second-Team All-State. The junior broke out this season, leading the Blackhawks with 379 kills and 51 blocks while recording 169 digs and 48 aces. Each team consists of 14 players from across the state at the Class 1A level.
