Springs Valley girls' basketball notches win over North Daviess

The Springs Valley girls' basketball team took down North Daviess on Tuesday, winning 38-24. Gracie Breedlove, Maci Eckerty, and Jordyn Land led Springs Valley. Breedlove was the team's leading scorer with 11 points, also grabbing two rebounds. Eckerty canned a pair of 3-pointers on the way to 10 points. She also had six assists, four rebounds, three steals, and two blocks in a strong all-around performance. Land posted six points in the first quarter and finished with 10 on just seven shots. The junior center also had a team-high 14 rebounds to record a double-double. Kynleigh Dalton finished with three points and five rebounds. Josie Robison had two points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Kadee McGuire scored her first varsity field goal, finishing with two points as well as two rebounds and an assist. Kenna McNeely had a rebound. The bounce-back win was much needed for Springs Valley (2-1). The Blackhawks will try to build on it on Saturday when they travel to Rock Creek Academy.
