Blackhawks fall to Shoals in close contest

The Springs Valley boys' basketball team played host to Shoals on Saturday, falling 61-56. Konner Chase was the top scorer for the Blackhawks, putting up 16 points. The junior also had three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Mavrick Land was also in double digits for Springs Valley, knocking in a pair of 3-pointers on his way to 10 points. Deion Edwards put up nine points to go along with his team-high seven rebounds and four assists. James Walls and Jaheim Hamilton scored six points each, Larron Childers had four, Xander Cook scored three, and Max Pendley put up two. Keaton Pritchett had three rebounds, an assist, and two steals. Springs Valley (5-8, 3-2 PLAC) will hit the court on Friday to kick off rivalry weekend against Paoli.
