Blackhawk boys take thriller against West Washington

The Springs Valley boys' basketball team hosted West Washington on Friday, taking a 68-66 victory in overtime. Keyton Jones led the way for the Blackhawks, pouring in 27 points. The junior also had four assists, four steals, and two blocks. Christian Hamilton backed him up with an efficient 14 points on five-of-eight shooting from the field. He also had five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Evan Brown scored 14 points as well, hitting three of his five shots from the field. He tacked on eight rebounds and two assists. Kayce Jones put up a double-double in the win, finishing with 11 points and 12 rebounds, James Walls scored two points and had four assists, and Landon Weeks had five rebounds. The win was the first in the conference for Springs Valley (4-7, 1-3 PLAC) this season. The Blackhawks will return to play on Saturday when they travel to Austin.
