Springs Valley Community High School

The Springs Valley girls' basketball team traveled to Eastern (Pekin) on Friday, losing 56-41. Springs Valley (11-9, 3-3 PLAC) wrapped up their eighth consecutive winning season despite the loss. The streak began in coach Marty Niehaus' first year at Springs Valley. The Blackhawks have also had a winning record in 10 of the last 11 seasons dating back to 2014-15. The Blackhawks will open their postseason run on Tuesday when they travel to Northeast Dubois to take on Cannelton in the opening round of Sectional 64.
