Springs Valley boys drop road contest at Borden

The Springs Valley boys' basketball team traveled to Borden on Saturday, losing 63-47. The Braves took a 17-13 lead after the first quarter and the Blackhawks cut into it in the second, trailing just 33-31 at halftime. The second half was all Borden, however, as the Braves outscored the 'Hawks 30-16 after the break. Landon Weeks continued his run of strong play, putting up a team-high 15 points with two rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Keyton Jones also scored in double digits, recording 10 points. The junior also had five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Blake Buchanan had nine points, James Walls had seven points, and Evan Brown had six points with seven rebounds. Garrett Hahn had a steal. Kevin Carnes had a rebound and a steal. Springs Valley (5-13, 1-4 PLAC) will return to play on Friday when it hosts White River Valley.
