The Springs Valley boys’ basketball team fought back from an early deficit at Borden on Saturday, but couldn’t complete the comeback. The Blackhawks trailed 33-26 at halftime, but stormed back to take a 37-35 lead with just a few minutes left in the third quarter. They’d head to the fourth tied 41-41 with the Braves, then fall 67-51. Konner Chase was the one who gave Springs Valley that third-quarter lead, hitting a pair of free throws to do so, and he eventually finished with a team-high 19 points. He also had a team-high four assists to go along with two steals and a rebound. Deion Edwards had nine points and a team-high five rebounds, Jaheim Hamilton put up eight points and led the team with four steals, Christian Hamilton put up a career-high seven points, and Mavrick Land and Xander Cook scored two points each. Keaton Pritchett had three assists, two rebounds and a steal. Max Pendley had a rebound and two steals. Springs Valley (6-12, 3-3 PLAC) will try to bounce back on Friday when it hosts White River Valley for homecoming.
