Springs Valley Community High School

The Springs Valley boys’ golf team traveled to Montgomery on Monday, competing in a three-team match against Barr-Reeve and Forest Park at Country Oaks Golf Course. The Blackhawks excelled, beating Forest Park by four strokes to take the win as a team. Jake Hammond didn’t only lead the Blackhawks on Monday with his score of 34, he led all individuals. His closest competition for medalist honors was teammate Blake Albright, who finished with a 40. Owen Weisensteiner recorded a 44 to finish tied for fourth overall. Ryker Allen made his season debut with a 49, Max Pendley put up a 52, and Jack Dalton rounded things out for Springs Valley with a 55. Springs Valley (14-3) will continue its campaign on Tuesday, hitting the road to play Orange County rivals Paoli and Orleans at Green Acres Country Club in Paoli.
