Hammond, Albright lead Valley boys' golf past PLAC competition

The Springs Valley boys’ golf team stayed hot on Tuesday, traveling to Green Acres Country Club to compete against Orleans, West Washington, and Paoli. The Blackhawks took an easy win, outpacing their closest competition by 23 strokes to finish first. Jake Hammond was the medalist once again, finishing at a one-over-par score of 36. Blake Albright continued trending upward for the ‘Hawks, placing second on the individual leaderboard with a round of 38. Owen Weisensteiner and Jack Dalton shot matching scores of 44, Ryker Allen finished at 47, and Landen Noble rounded things out with a 53. The lowest individual score from an opposing team was a 41, five strokes off of Hammond. Following the win, Springs Valley (17-3) will get a couple of days to work before they head to the Washington Hatchet Invite at Country Oaks Golf Course on Saturday.
