The Springs Valley boys’ golf team took another win on Thursday night, hosting Salem and Orleans at The Donald Ross Course. The Blackhawks outclassed their competition with a team score of 162, 30 strokes lower than Salem’s 192 and nearly 50 strokes lower than Orleans’ 210. Jake Hammond got back on track against the Lions and Bulldogs. The senior shot a 38 to earn medalist honors after working through a bit of a slump recently. Blake Albright stayed strong, carding a 40, and Owen Weisensteiner was just behind him with a 41. Ryker Allen was fourth at 43 and Jack Dalton rounded out the top five at 46. Neither Salem nor Orleans had a score lower than 47. Max Pendley finished his round with a 50, Van Leininger had a 51, Kash Smoot shot a 53, Landen Noble finished at 55, and Ian Mayhugh rounded things out with a 66. Springs Valley (29-14) will compete next on Monday when it hosts West Washington, Forest Park, and Perry Central.
