Springs Valley boys' golf beats Forest Park, Perry Central

The Springs Valley boys’ golf team was at home on Monday, hosting Perry Central and Forest Park. The Blackhawks stayed hot, defeating both teams with a team score of 171. Forest Park posted a 179 and Perry Central finished a 188. Jake Hammond led all competitors with a match-low score of 39. His closest competition was teammate Blake Albright, who scored a 41. Owen Weisensteiner finished at 43, Ryker Allen carded a 48, and Van Leininger rounded out Springs Valley’s top five with a score of 51. Max Pendley finished at 54, Kash Smoot posted a 57, Braden Collier put up a 67 and Ian Mayhugh’s score was a 69. Springs Valley (31-14) will try to keep rolling on Thursday when it hosts Paoli, Orleans, and West Washington at The Donald Ross Course.
