Valley boys' golf dominates five-team match at The Ross

The wins kept rolling in for the Springs Valley boys’ golf team on Monday as it hosted Crawford County, Northeast Dubois, West Washington, and North Harrison at The Donald Ross Course. The Blackhawks cruised to a team win, finishing with a team score of 170. West Washington was their closest competition, putting up a 206. North Harrison had a 208, Northeast Dubois finished at 228, and Crawford County didn’t record a team score. Jake Hammond and Blake Albright led from the front for Springs Valley. The seniors tied for medalist honors, each recording a 40 for the round. Teammate Owen Weisensteiner was their closest competition, he put up a 41. Landen Noble contributed to the team score with a 49, Ryker Allen shot a 51, and Max Pendley rounded out the top six with a 52. Kash Smoot recorded a 58, Jack Dalton shot a 62, and Ian Mayhugh finished at 63. Springs Valley (41-15) will try to keep it rolling on Thursday when they challenge Jasper and Heritage Hills at Sultan’s Run Golf Course.
