Springs Valley girls' golf falls on the road at Forest Park

The Springs Valley girls’ golf team kicked off its season on Tuesday, taking a trip to Christmas Lake Golf Club to compete with Forest Park. A pair of rules misunderstandings would ultimately cost the Blackhawks five strokes total and the match as they fell 216-218. Mia Cruz led the way for the ‘Hawks, carding a match-low score of 41 to earn medalist honors. Macy Hall was next-best for Springs Valley, finishing third overall with a score of 51. Karmen Hall shot a 61 and Dallas Hendrix rounded out the scoring with a 63. Springs Valley (0-1) will be back in action on Saturday, traveling to Country Oaks Golf Club to compete in the Washington Invite.
