Springs Valley girls' golf places 15th at 2022 Washington Invite

The Springs Valley girls' golf team hit the road on Saturday, traveling to Country Oaks Golf Club to compete in the Washington Invite. In a 24-team field loaded with larger schools, the Blackhawks would finish 15th overall with a team score of 425. First-place finisher Bedford North Lawrence's score was 335. Mia Cruz and Macy Hall led the way for the 'Hawks, each carding an 18-hole score of 98. Dallas Hendrix was next-best for Springs Valley with a 107, Karmen Hall posted a 122, and in her first round ever freshman Logan Watts put up a score of 144. The Blackhawks will compete next on Tuesday, hosting Bedford North Lawrence, Corydon Central and North Daviess for at the Valley Links in their first home event of the season.
